Always check before going to bed....

Okay, so last night Lucy did not want to go to bed. We of course let her cry it out and she eventually fell asleep. At about 12:45 am, she woke up crying my name. I went upstairs to find her in her bed.... are you ready for this? NAKED! Apparently during her fit of anger over having to go to bed, she striped herself of her pj's and her diaper. She was crying because she had pee'd in the bed and she was wet and cold. LOVELY!

A few weeks ago, Danny was pushing her on the swings. He was pushing her pretty high for a 2 year old, but she loved it. Daniel asked Danny to give him a good shove and as he stepped to the side to push Daniel, Lucy dropped the key she was holding and reached down to get it. Of course, she turned herself upside down and wrapped her feet around the chain while still holding on with one hand. Her head even brushed the ground a couple of times before Danny could get to her. And in typical Lucy fashion, she got right back on the swing and she was never even scared!

A few weeks ago, Daniel got his 1st Degree Black Belt in Taekwon-Do. We are very proud of him. His uniform is a bit big, but he has to wear it for at least 2 years. He will test for 2nd Degree when he is 13, so this uniform needs to last at least that long.

And one final note... Cypress Taekwon-Do (where Daniel and EmmaLee train) has lost one of its family members. B.J. Farnsworth, age 25, passed away last Friday. He was loved and adored by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed. BJ was one of Daniel's first instructors and he and Daniel became fast friends. Daniel even got to help Mr. Farnsworth teach the preschool classes sometimes.

Please pray for all those who knew him, especially his family.

Back in our house

Well, we are back in our house now. Danny and I moved in on New Year's Day and the kids joined us that weekend. We've been slowly putting things back together because when we left, we just threw stuff in boxes and now we have to figure out where stuff is and where to put it. It will take awhile.

Meanwhile, Lucy has learned how to unlock the front door, so today we had all the locks changed. We needed too anyway with all the people coming in and out of the house. And we have a lock on the pantry door that she has figured out how to unlock. She pulls a stool over to the door, climbs up and unlocks it! Not sure what I'm going to do about that.

Most of her crazy antics have stopped and we have now fully entered the 2 year old stage. Although today I found her at the sink and she had soaped up the faucet.
